The Honest Cynic
I have replaced numerous iPhone screen protectors, which is a routine involving wiping the screen with alcohol wipes, drying it, placing a tempered glass screen, and flattening it before any dust can settle. This package is the same contents, but for your camera screen, so you’ll already know the process. I’ve fitted these to my Sony A7IV, and they fit just right. By nudging the protector right up to the grooves of the flippable screen, you should be able to align them properly, with the slightest up-and-down adjustments before fatefully pressing it down flat. Not only do you get a screen protector for clumsy interactions with your camera’s touch screen when handling it, you get three! It’s unlikely you’ll need all of them unless you’re particularly rough with your equipment, or have a camera model that doesn’t articulate its screen so it’s not always on the outside, but if you’re fortunate enough to have two cameras, you can certainly protect them both and have one protector spare. I’m bemused by the inclusion of spirit levels. They neither fit my hot shoe flush, and they’re not beneficial when my tripod includes one, and my camera has girometers showing when it’s level. They’re handy spares for affixing to other parts to check levels, but why are they included? For me, they’re handy for covering the hotshoe contacts if you’ve lost the one supplied, but I’ll probably find another use for them… I just can’t think what. Though the screen protectors are great, they feel like they’re another company’s glass, repackaged in a K+F Concept box, down to the generic anti-dust sticker designs. All good, considering there can only be so many glass manufacturers that make screen protectors at certain sizes - but something to keep in mind if you don’t need the addition of a lens wipe and spirit levels in addition!

Not sure if I got a faulty batch, but none of the 3 screen protectors worked for me. Each of them did the same thing in that they didn't fully adhere to the screen on one side. I left the last one on there - the worst of the bunch - to see if it magically adheres over night but I don't hold out much help. Looks like most people got on alright we've these, but, alas, not I. I'll change my score if it does eventually work, but can't see that happening. So far - waste of money.

I am familiar with K&F product line of quality photographic filters and so I was quite pleased to see that they also offer screen protectors. The box comes with three screen protectors, each with its own cleaning cloth. The K&F screen protector will fit all Sony RX100 models starting from the very first RX100 model to the RX100 VII since they share the same 3.0'' (7.5 cm) TFT LCD screen. I have a RX100M3 and a RX100VII and I can definitely confirm the K&F screen protector fits both. The M3 already has a screen protector but the M6 was a recently bought model and needed a protective screen. If you have previously applied a screen protector to a cell phone, applying the K&F protector is similar. Firstly, give the LCD screen a good cleaning. I used a paper towel lightly moistened with diluted dish washer detergent for the initial cleaning. You can also use diluted denatured alcohol if you have it handy. Just don’t use eyeglass cleaner (which contains silicone). Then wipe dry with the supplied lint-free cleaning cloth. Carefully align the protector over the LCD screen before dropping it down. I did not bother with the supplied guide stickers and just held the screen protector by the edges. Small adjustments can still be made at this point. Lay the cleaning cloth or packing foam on top and then press evenly and firmly down, moving outwards in circular motions from the centre to the edges. It sounds scary and complicated, but it is in fact very easy to get good results. In summary, I highly recommend the K&F screen protector. It is an effective way to protect one of the more vulnerable areas in arguably the best travel camera ever made.

I obtained this through the Vine program, so bear that in mind. I really liked the material, it was simple to apply, no bubbles and looked like it would last forever. I really need a LCD screen protector, as they always get scratched with use and can make the rest of the camera difficult to use. My difficulty came from not ordering the proper screen protector for my camera model size - my fault, not the company's. I had checked the specifications from Sony, both had 3" LCDs, so I thought they would be the same. They're not. It's hard to find any exact dimensions for LCDs, so I'd recommend sticking to ones that are explicitly described on the screen protector label. Unfortunately the LCD on my camera (a Sony alpha6700) was a little shorter and wider than the screen protector, so it wouldn't seal due to the barely elevated edges on the top and bottom of the LCD. I measured the screen protector in this product (described to be for the Sony RX100 VII) as Height 2-1/32" (5.2 cm); Width 2-3/5" (7.05 cm) and diagonal corner to corner 3-15/32 (8.75 cm). (The screen on the Sony alpha6700 is Height 1-15/16" (5.0 cm - too short for the screen protector!), Width 2-7/8" (7.4 cm), and diagonal corner to corner 3-1/2" (8.9 cm). I hope this helps others.
